Our Founding Entrepreneurs
Daniel Gauthier
In 2002, entrepreneur Daniel Gauthier founded HDG, a financial holding company, to contribute to the development and growth of partner companies. HDG and Daniel Gauthier are the main shareholders of Le Massif de Charlevoix, a world-class year-round outdoor destination. Before founding HDG, Daniel Gauthier cofounded Le Cirque du Soleil, one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world. He was President of Le Cirque du Soleil for 11 years.
The Leclerc family
The entrepreneurial roots of the Leclerc family go back to Groupe Leclerc, a true leader in the agrifood industry. The company has been manufacturing cookies, crackers and snack bars since 1905. Groupe Leclerc employs over 1,800 people within its eight state-of-the-art factories in Canada and the United States. The company’s products are available on five continents, ensuring families all over the world can enjoy Québec recipes.
